Location
The Country Inns in the White Mountains member inns are located in several towns in the Mt. Washington Valley, an area in New Hampshire’s White Mountains surrounding North Conway that reaches from Chocorua in the south to Jackson in the north. The Mt. Washington Valley extends from the Lakes Region to the eastern White Mountains Region of New Hampshire. Click on the area map for a closer look.
Access by Car:
The area can be accessed from the South by traveling on I-95 to Portsmouth, NH then following directions to the Spaulding Turnpike to the White Mountains which becomes Route 16. If you are traveling on I-93, take Exit 23 to reach southern towns or Exit 40 to reach northern towns. Route 302 is the eastern access. Specific directions to each inn will be found on each inn’s website.
To best enjoy the attractions and natural beauty of the area, it is recommended that you have a car. Be sure to watch for wildlife when traveling area roads, particularly at dawn and dusk. Here is a list of estimated mileages from major cities to North Conway.
